If you enjoy the natural beauty of scenic rainforests and wildlife, then the Blackall Ranges (otherwise known as the Sunshine Coast Hinterland) is for you. You can spend just one day or stay in one of the many places at Maleny to take it all in. The locations for walks at various ability levels through the forest include Mary Cairncross Scenic Reserve, Gardner's Falls, Kondalilla Falls, Mapleton Falls plus several others. There are stunning views that are easy to get to and waterfalls within short walking distances. It's also surprising to see quite a number of wild native animals in the forest along the walking tracks so it feels a bit like a natural zoo without any fences.
